Benefits of an Inground Fiberglass Pool
Choosing an inground pool in fiberglass is one of the smartest decisions a homeowner can make, and the benefits go well beyond aesthetics;
they deliver real, measurable advantages throughout the life of your pool.
Fiberglass pools install significantly faster than concrete alternatives — typically in a matter of days rather than months.
The non-porous surface is naturally algae-resistant, which means lower chemical consumption, simpler water management, and more time actually enjoying your pool.
And because there’s no plaster surface to resurface, your long-term maintenance costs stay low.
Key benefits of inground fiberglass pools include:
- Faster installation: most installs completed within 2–4 weeks
- Lower chemical costs: non-porous gelcoat surface resists algae naturally
- Durable and flexible: fiberglass flexes with soil movement, reducing crack risk
- Smooth, comfortable interior: gentle on skin, easy to clean

Inground Fiberglass Pools FAQs
Most fiberglass pool installations are completed within two to four weeks from excavation to first swim. Because the shell arrives pre-formed and pre-finished, the on-site process is significantly faster than concrete construction — which can take three to six months. Daily View Pools manages every phase in-house, which keeps the timeline tight and the process efficient.
Both are excellent options, and the right choice depends on your priorities. Fiberglass installs faster, costs less to maintain over time, and has a smooth, algae-resistant surface that’s gentle on skin. Concrete offers more freedom in shape and size, and is the better choice if you want a completely custom design. Our team will walk you through both options during your free consultation so you can make the decision that’s right for your family.
Fiberglass is actually more resistant to cracking than concrete in many soil conditions. The material is naturally flexible, which allows it to absorb minor ground movement without fracturing — a real advantage in the Carolinas, where clay-heavy soils can shift seasonally. Properly installed by an experienced team, a fiberglass pool is a highly durable, long-term investment.
Absolutely. Fiberglass pools are fully compatible with a wide range of features — integrated spas, deck jets, waterfalls, LED lighting systems, tanning ledges, and automation platforms. Many shell models come pre-configured for popular features, and our design team will help you plan a complete setup that works with your chosen shell and your backyard layout.
Fiberglass pool pricing varies depending on the shell model, size, site conditions, and any additional features or landscaping involved. As a general guide, most residential fiberglass installations in the Charlotte area range from the mid-$50,000s into the six figures for fully featured builds. Daily View Pools provides detailed, fixed-price proposals after an initial site consultation — so you’ll always know exactly what you’re getting and what it costs before any work begins.
